Important Athletics information for the 2026-2027 school year.
The district will no longer accept paper copies of student physical forms.Please upload your completed form to AUSTINISD.RANKONE.COM after May 15th. Keep the original copy for your records; the school will not keep hard copies on file.
PLEASE make sure to complete all of the ONLINE FORMS on the RANKONE website as the students will not be eligible to participate until PHYSICAL and ONLINE FORMS are complete (students must be GREEN in the RANKONE system).
AUSTIN HIGH PHYSICAL NIGHTwill take place on MAY 7th from 4PM-6PM ($15 cash or check). We highly encourage all students to get this taken care of then if possible. (please see attachment for more information)
Parents and Guardians: Please ensure all physical forms are fully completed before submission to avoid processing delays. Crucial requirements: fill out the entire top portion (no blanks), explain any "Yes" answers on medical history, and ensure both student and parent sign the medical history portion.
Incomplete documents may cause delays in your child’s ability to participate in activities.
Thank you so much for your diligence in getting this taken care of before the beginning of next school year! All students enrolled in the Athletics period must have a current physical.

Local Low-Cost Physical Options
- St. David's CareNow Urgent Care: Offers discounted $35 sports physicals for K-12 students through August 31 at all Central Texas locations. You can walk in or check wait times on the CareNow Urgent Care page.
- CVS MinuteClinic: Available daily at multiple Austin locations for a flat rate of $76 per visit. Find your nearest clinic and check hours using the CVS MinuteClinic Locator.
- Urgent Care for Kids: Located on the north side, they offer a sports physical for $35 (or $0 if combined with an insurance-covered annual well-child visit. Pre-register via the Urgent Care for Kids website.
- Next Level Urgent Care: Provides level 1 UIL basic physicals for $40. Find a nearby location on the Next Level Urgent Care page.

Spring Sports: Track, Tennis, Golf
O. Henry Middle School Golf:
General Information:
Who: ANY O. Henry Student (6th - 8th)
What: After school golf club for all skill levels.
When: Generally begins the week after Spring Break. We are currently working with Lions to get our practice schedule aligned with their clinic schedules. Depending on the number of sign-ups each student will get 1 or 2 days at Lions to use the range and chipping putting greens.
