2025-2026 Mustang Council

First Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th: 4:00-5:00 pm

O. Henry Campus Advisory Council (CAC) Roles and Responsibility

O. Henry Mustang Council is a committee of parents, teachers, principals, staff, local business representatives and students. The council is an advisory organization -- providing feedback and recommendations to Principal Marlo Malott on important campus topics, such as campus planning, budgets, staff development, curriculum and testing. Our mission is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based representation of the entire O. Henry community. 

The formation of CACs is required by state law (Texas Education Code, §11.251). More information on CACs can be found on the AISD CAC website. 

Mustang Council meetings are held monthly in the school library and are open to all O. Henry community bers. If you would like to speak during an upcoming meeting, please send an email to Nancy Nicolas or Michael Jurkovic with your name and specific topic of interest at least 14 days prior to the next meeting. You may also submit agenda suggestions, concerns and/or questions vimema email to the co-chairs which the co-chairs will share during meetings on the behalf of community members. 

Agendas will be posted at least 10 days prior to each meeting. Minutes recapping each meeting will be posted upon council approval at the following meeting.
