O. Henry Middle School General School Supply List
Get a leg up on basic back-to-school supplies to start school: these supplies will be used throughout the school day in your core and elective classes. Replenish as needed. Students will learn of additional needs in mid-August for special electives from the teacher.
General School Supplies to Keep On Hand
- Notebook paper (loose leaf/filler paper - college or wide ruled)
- Number 2 pencils + Hand-held pencil sharpener
- Eraser
- Pack of colored pencils
- Pens - student preference
- Highlighters
- Pack of markers - variety of colors
- Pair of Scissors
- Optional: small container/bag to store these items
Class-Specific Needs
- PE/Athletics: students may wear any black shorts, leggings, track pants, skorts, and a pair of rubber-soled shoes. The PE shirt will be available for purchase for $5.
- PE/Athletics: Combo Lock for gym locker (no keyed locks)
- Science: ONE 1-Subject College Ruled Spiral Notebook, 8 ½" x 11", with pocket (100 sheets)
- THREE composition notebooks- one for each class - Math, Social Studies, English
- 6th + 7th Social Studies: 2 pocket plastic folder, any color
- 8th Grade US History: 1.5” or 2” 3-ring binder
- French 1 and 2: 1.5” 3-ring binder
- Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4: FOUR dry-erase markers and a composition book
Campus Supplies: Bring to your ACES Homeroom Teacher on the 2nd Day of School. These supplies will be turned in and used in the classrooms.
- THREE boxes of Kleenex
- 1 box of 30 count #2 pencils
- 2 Clorox Wipes
- 1 box of 6 count glue sticks
- 1 box of broad line colored markers
- 1 box of thin line colored markers
- 1 ream 500 sheets printer paper
School Chromebooks and chargers will be stored in teacher carts in classrooms. No Chromebooks will be issued directly to students.
