Mustang Camp (August 4th and 5th)
Bring your best self and show up for a fun time! Mustangs will get connected with old and new friends, get ready for school and learn what it means to be an O. Henry Mustang. We are looking forward to meeting all of our incoming 6th grade Mustangs at the 2026 Mustang Transition Camp, our student orientation, on August 4th - 5th from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.
O. Henry teachers and student ambassadors will provide helpful hints in the areas of organization, study skills and school expectations. Students will meet new friends through team building activities. A scavenger hunt will be offered to allow the students to learn their way around the campus. Come and learn the Mustang culture!

Mustang Summer Band Camp (August 3rd and 5th)
All rising 7th/8th grade band students with at least one year of playing experience are invited to join us for three fun days of Summer Band in August. Sumer Band will take place August 3 - 5 (Monday through Wednesday) from 1:30 - 4:30 PM in the OHMS Band Hall. Students who attend band camp will get to perform with the O.Henry Pep Band next fall. The Pep Band provides school spirit by performing at pep rallies, an O.Henry football game, an Austin High football game, Mustang Round-Up, the Casis Carnival Parade and other fun events throughout the school year. Band Camp is a great opportunity for students to meet new friends, catch up with old friends, and improve their playing skills while learning fun music. We also mix in lots of fun social activities throughout the week.
