What is Mustang Day?

Our School Year has been AWESOME and we are going to finish the last day with celebrations, games, a school dance, outdoor inflatables, yearbook signing, and Kona Ice.

Mustangs will follow the morning bell schedule to see all their teachers one more time (see below) and then help send off our 8th graders. Afterwards, we let the fun begin. Check out the activities, schedule, and expectations for each grade level below.

What should each Mustang bring to school?

  • Wear comfortable shoes with socks (for outside games, inflatables, and the dance)
  • A water bottle or know where the drinking fountains are located.
  • A lunch if not buying one at school.
  • A small bag or purse for personal items. No large back packs on this day.
  • A camera or use of phone. Picture taking is allowed, but remember no social media and get consent before taking a picture with friend groups.

Safety and Security: What if I need to pick up my Mustang early?

  • Should you wish to take your Mustang to other family events and request an early check out, we ask that you officially sign out at the front office.
  • If your Mustang will be going with a different family than your own, an email with your ID will need to be sent to OHenry047@austinisid.org with the name of your student and the name of the parent who will be checking out. Please send this request no later than 8:00 a.m. on May 29th to ensure the front office staff is equipped to support early check out.
  • No "going home with a friend" check outs will be accepted without an email and a photo ID. No exceptions.
  • There will be no early check outs after 3:00 on May 29th.

Thank you for making our celebration and recognition a safe and successful event.
