O. Henry Middle School

Choir

O. Henry Middle School Choir is a multi-grade class for students who are interested in singing and performing. Four basic strands- preconception, creative expression/performance, historical and cultural heritage, and critical evaluation- provide broad, unifying structures for organizing the knowledge and skills of choir students. During the year, the choir members will be exposed to a variety of music styles from Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Classical, and students will gain skill in sight singing, proper vocal technique, and music theory. Term marks are based on singing samples, class work, and concert performances.
