Dear O. Henry Families,
As you may know, on Friday AISD Board of Trustees approved a delay to the start of school to September 8th.
The calendar begins with four weeks of remote learning and an option for on-campus instruction during the first four weeks for students who do not have access to reliable technology or internet connectivity. Pending approval from the TEA, there will be an additional four weeks that will serve as a period where students who selected on-campus instruction may return to on-campus learning in phased-in smaller groups. These plans are subject to change based on the guidance of local, state, and federal health authorities and the TEA.
AISD has developed a parent FAQ addressing some specific questions around the delayed start and the on-campus instruction structure. Please read through these, but know that we have also prepared some time for you to engage with your O. Henry Community.

This week, I'm hosting THREE Virtual Parent Meetings to meet some of our staff, answer additional questions about back to school, and provide you with as much information as I can at this time.
