8th Graders and Parents/Guardians,
If you are interested in applying to another high school, you are not zoned for please check out the AISD Transfer Dates and Deadlines link below. I also have the AISD High School Programs (Have It All) link below. This link provides families with lots of information about the different High Schools in the AISD district. Please also remember the Austin High School Essay is coming up Jan.19th. Please sign up with Ms. Schmitz our counseling assistant in the counseling office area for the Austin High School Essay. Mr. Maddox the Austin High School Academy Director will be here Jan.19th to administer the Essay to the students wanting to transfer to Austin High school. The Essay will be during ACEs and part of 7th period in the cafeteria, students will be sent a pass. I also wanted to let you know Austin High School Counselors will be here Jan. 24th and 25th to present choice sheet information to the 8th grade students in their Science classes.

It is almost MAROON AND WHITE NIGHT TIME!
Plan to attend the highly engaging Maroon and White Showcase Night at Austin High on December 2nd! This one-of-a kind event will allow future Maroons to explore all of the amazing programs that Austin High has to offer. Tour the Culinary Arts Kitchen, our Film Studio, or learn more about the exciting opportunities in Project Lead the Way. Visit with teachers and students about our Academies and learn about their signature experiences. The event will begin at 6:30pm in the Austin High Performing Arts Center, with a special performance featuring the many award-winning programs that Austin High has to offer. Families will then have time to visit with teachers and students representing all aspects of Austin High academics, electives, sports, and clubs. Mark your calendars for this exciting night!
