The OHMS Jazz Band will be performing at the AHS Vertical Team Jazz Concert on Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30PM. The concert will take place at the Central Market (South Location) located at 477 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78745 in the Westgate Shopping Center.
In addition to the O.Henry Jazz Band, groups from Clint Small MS, Kealing MS, and Austin High School will be performing. Our performance will last approximately 20-25 minutes; however, everyone is encouraged to listen to one or more of the other performing groups if possible. Austin High will provide all rhythm section stuff: piano, drums, amps. We’ll need to bring any individual instruments like guitars, basses, etc.
Students need to arrive at Central Market in formal uniform at 5:45 PM. There is no bus transportation available for this event. We will wear formal our uniforms for this performance. Please let me know if you need assistance acquiring any of the uniform items listed below.
Formal Uniform
● Solid back slacks/dress pants (no jeans or athletic pants )
● Solid black long-sleeved, buttoned-down black dress shirt with collar. Dress shirt must be tucked in (Girls may wear a solid black blouse instead of a dress shirt)
● Black belt
● Solid black shoes
● Black socks
● Red necktie provided by the band
