ATTENTION ALL 8TH GRADE PARENTS--Optional PSAT Test
On Saturday, December 15, 2018 O. Henry Middle School 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to participate in the PSAT 8/9. We will be testing from 8:00 a.m.-noon in the cafeteria, and there is no charge for the test.
This is a test that will help your child and his/her teachers figure out what work needs to be done so that your child will be ready for college upon high school graduation. It tests the same skills and knowledge as the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10 – in a way that makes sense for 8th and 9th graders. The PSAT 8/9 establishes a baseline measurement of your child’s college and career readiness as they enter high school. It also gives students a chance to preview the college readiness tests and connect them to Advanced Placement courses that will be available in high school.
When your student receives his/her test scores, they will be set up with an account with the College Board and Khan Academy and will receive free personalized study recommendations.
