Student's Schedules for 2nd Semester

All students will report to their ACES class on Monday, January 7th first thing in the morning. Students will receive their Spring Semester schedule in their ACES class which will be the accurate schedule for them to follow. Due to Benchmark Testing we will be on a C Day schedule all Week.

Homework Club will resume on Monday, January 14th from 3:45-5:00.

Middle of the Year Benchmark Testing Schedule: 
Monday:  Mathematics for 6,7,8
Tuesday:  English Reading-Language Arts for 6,7,8
Wednesday:  Science for 8
Thursday: Social Studies for 8
Friday:  Make-ups

When we return from the winter break students will jump right into taking the District Middle of the Year Benchmarks. Students will be testing in their ACES and small groups to ensure we are modeling STAAR testing protocols.

We encourage our students to take their time and do their best work so teachers can determine additional academic support and extensions to already mastered curriculum.  

Attendance Amnesty Week: January 7th – January 11th.  Was your student out sick last semester and you forgot to get a note in for their illness? 

We will be accepting parent sick notes for anytime last semester, during this amnesty week. 

  • You can email those to tim.tierney@austinisd.org Check the parent cloud to see if you missed turning in any notes. 
  • You can always turn in a Medical Professional’s note at any time up until May 23, 2019.  
  • What’s the easiest way to get a medical note to the office?  Take a picture of it and email it right as you leave their office.

Back to School Supplies- Please make sure your child has restocked their school supplies, especially pencils! 

Considering a school supply wish-box for a classroom teacher? 

We are currently taking donations of Kleenex tissue, Clorox wipes, pencils, pens, glue sticks and colored paper. 

All donated items can be dropped off in the front office.

HEB Campers and Parents

Remember that we have a mandatory meeting for all parents and campers on Tuesday, January 8 from 6-7 pm in the O.Henry Cafe!

We will go over packing lists, cabin requests, drop-off/registration procedures, and much more.  Please remember to bring all money and forms to the meeting! 

If you cannot be at the meeting, please send someone in your place to get the information.
